Odyssoid

I had a lot of fun doing the lines for this...but somewhere around the ten thousandth scale I lost interest in having a meaningful background and interesting colors and all that important jazz.

I want to revisit this or at least do more panoramic/mythic scenes.

Baroque-Punk

If it's not baroque - don't fix it.

A Pair of Gawains

As much as I love rendering things, there is something nice about flat colors. Oh well.

Gawain again

Got a new tablet. It is addicting. Details are fun.

Like a Virgin

A piece I did a few weeks ago, combining a religious icon of Joan of Arc with the colors of Madonna's 'Confessions On A Dance Floor' album art.

Still could use a little work.

Shrine

I just started working on a new project. I've been absorbing a lot of reference from neolithic sculptures to megaliths and other stone age rock carvings.

Tonight's the Knight

...because I couldn't go one day without posting a finished knight drawing.

When others quit...

...the Continuers record another episode.

Goddess of Wisdom and War

A fun experiment and distraction, though Athene's divinity isn't quite apparent. Perhaps when I have some time I'll go back and push her design a bit more.

Two Transformations of the Spirit

Last semester, we were assigned to illustrate a journey. I chose to translate (somewhat literally) Friedrich Nietzsche's Transformations of the Spirit, from the prologue of Also Sprach Zarathustra.

Back

After a refreshing summer hiatus, I've decided to start posting my backlog of completed pieces and works in progress, starting with the latter.

The Three Transformations of the Camel

A work in progress of my a project for school.

Arabian Nights

Just going to ignore the fact that I broke my posting streak after only a few days...but hey, I've been busy with things like this.

Shahryar

Shahryar: the cruel sultan of 1001 Arabian Nights fame.

Helmet Sketches

Day 2 of attempting to consistently post sketches! Huzzah!

Can you tell I've been reading a lot about the upcoming Halo: Reach beta?

Sketches

I always tell myself that I need to draw and post more work, even if the end result isn't quite as good as I want it to be.

Episode 8

Episode 8 of 'The Continuers!' is now available for download on either our Blog, our Podomatic site or through iTunes.

Rage Goddess

Rage-Goddess, sing the rage of Peleus' son Achilles,
murderous, doomed, that cost the Achaeans countless losses,
hurling down to the House of Death so many sturdy souls,
great fighters' souls, but made their bodies carrion,
feasts for the dogs and birds,
and the will of Zeus was moving toward its end.

Athena is no muse...but still the verse was in my head and I needed some text to go with the image.

The Continuers!

Contrary to what you may have heard, this is not my only blog. Shocking, I know. I wouldn't have believed me either. I have always been a fan of podcasts, I listen to a lot of them: particularly when working from my computer. Friends of mine will also know that I talk a lot about video games. Fortunately, two of my friends: Max and Nick share that pass time. We decided to record and direct said conversations once a week and thus 'the Continuers!' were born. Actually....'the Dreamcast' was born, which begat 'Extra Lives', which begat 'Continue?' which emerged from its cocoon as the beautiful butterfly that is 'the Continuers!'

So far, our podcast has seven episodes, which are all on iTunes or our Podomatic site http://thecontinuers.podomatic.com. We also have a blog http://thecontinuers.blogspot.com so if you're interested and love gaming then lend an ear and drop us a line, we'd love to hear constructive feedback and your own personal gaming stories!

Various Oddities

A couple of oddball pieces, the first being done for a short film at BU, the second while listening to far too much Daft Punk.

Joust

Alright so I lied...there are more knights to come. Once school recommences there will definitely be less of them.

DaVinci's Diving Suit

Okay...so not far off from knights...but it's a start! This actually came from playing a bit too much Bioshock.

No More Knights

I'm told that I have a fondness for drawing knights....I don't know where anyone would get that idea...ever.

But seriously, knights are like comfort food to me. I swear I can draw other things!
